Chinese Traditional Culture Filial Concept

Many theories of Chinese  thinkers in ancient time developed Filial piety culture。Confucius , in the Spring and Autumn period，insisted that  “benevolence ”should be the core of moral philosophy。He emphasized the state should be managed with etiquette。Mencius，in Warring States period, introduced the idea of universal love。Mencius brought the theory of original goodness of human nature。 He thought that people have the ideas of humanity、Justice、courtesy and wisdom with their born。

Filial piety culture as a social ideology, is developed in each era, and at the same time it is a reflection of progress and development of that time。 Maybe just because the social security system is too poor, so the seniors should be supported by their children. So people make some rules for the supporting。

Seven- Character 24 Solar Terms ballad

The earth circles around the sun，one circle means one years；

One year is divided into 12 months， 24 solar terms come one by one；

According to the Gregorian calendar，two solar terms in one month；

Date sixth and 21st in the first half，date 8th and 23rd in the second half of the year；

These dates are the joints， with a tolerance of one or tow days。

There is an order，you should remember in your mind：

Great Cold is after Slight Cold in January， Rain Water follows the Beginning of Spring in Feb； The Waking of Insects & the Spring Equinox in March, Pure Brightness &Grain Rain in April； May includes the Beginning of Summer and Grain full，May has Grain in Ear and the Summer Solstice；

Slight Heat and Great Heat in July，the beginning of the autumn and the limit of heat in August；

The Autumnal Equinox is next to White Dew in Sep, Cold Dew and Frost’s descent in Oct；

There are the Beginning of Winter and Slight Snow in December，Great Snow and the Winter Solstice means new year is coming。

Pay attention to seasons and farm timely， then there will be a harvest year。
